Terms of service.

Lakeland Sponsor Exchange (the "Service") is a free civic tool for discovering Polk County, Florida nonprofits and facilitating sponsorship relationships between those nonprofits and local sponsors (businesses, foundations, individuals, donor-advised funds).

The Service is built and maintained by Summit Labs LLC ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

• We are not a broker. Sponsorship relationships form directly between nonprofits and sponsors; we facilitate discovery and introductions only.
• We do not process sponsorship payments. Transactions happen off-platform.
• We do not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. Sponsorship deductibility and legal structure are your responsibility.
• We do not guarantee matches. Quality depends on sponsor alignment and nonprofit event fit.
• We do not verify claims beyond what public records and user-provided data support.

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Impersonate an organization you don't represent, or submit false claim information
• Scrape bulk data for resale or to build a competing directory
• Send spam or misleading communications through our messaging surfaces
• Upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, or privacy rights
• Misrepresent sponsorship arrangements, tier details, or organizational affiliations
• Interfere with the technical operation of the Service

Violations may result in account suspension and removal of listings. Abuse reports go to abuse@sponsorlakeland.com.

When you claim a nonprofit or create a sponsor profile, you represent that you are authorized to speak for that organization. Fraudulent claims are grounds for immediate account termination and may be referred to relevant authorities.

For nonprofits, we verify claims through domain-matched email where possible, with manual review as a fallback. For sponsors, profiles are self-created and subject to abuse-report review.

You retain ownership of content you post (event descriptions, giving narratives, logos). By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it within the Service and in related promotional material (e.g., press releases about Summit Labs' civic work).

You're responsible for the accuracy of what you post. We may remove content that violates these terms, without prior notice for clear violations.

The Service is provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to keep it running but don't promise uninterrupted availability. We may change features, add functionality, or retire parts of the Service at our discretion.

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll notify users via email and post an update here.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Summit Labs LLC is not liable for damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: failed sponsorships, inaccurate public-record data we republish, lost opportunities, or third-party conduct we facilitate but do not control.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed $100 or the amount you've paid us (which is zero, because the Service is free).

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes will be resolved in state or federal courts located in Polk County, Florida.
